Abstract: Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era is a major new theoretical achievement by integrating the basic principles of Marxism with China's socialist modernization practices in the new historical stage, the epitomizer of the Marxist theoretical innovation since the CPC's 18th National Congress, and the crystallization of the collective wisdom of the entire Party. Since the CPC's 18th National Congress, focusing on the great contemporary issue as to what kind of socialism with Chinese characteristics we should uphold and develop and how to uphold and develop it, General Secretary Xi Jinping has expounded it in many aspects, which further defines the new fundamental direction, general objectives, major tasks, strategic arrangement, basic ways and important methods of promoting socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and contains a wealth of Marxist worldviews and methodology. Reviewing and grasping these thoughts of General Secretary Xi Jinping conscientiously is of vital significance to the in-depth study and implementation of the guiding spirit of the 19th Congress of the CPC and the progress of the socialism with Chinese characteristics in a new era.
