On How to Improve the International Ideological Discourse Power
of China in the New Era

Abstract: The idea of building a community with shared future for mankind proposed by China in the new era is a significant transcendence of the international discourse power dominated by the Western ideologies, and provides a Chinese scheme and Chinese wisdom for improving the global governance system. However, due to the fact that the discourse power is "strong in the West and weak in China" on the whole, China's international ideological discourse power faces the suppression of discourse hegemony of the West. Adhering to the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, reconstructing the international relations, furthering the Belt and Road initiative, and increasing the international influence of China's philosophy and social sciences have become the inevitable choice for China to compete with the West for the international ideological discourse power.
